The ghee roasts were very good. We missed trying the famous Kundapura Chicken Ghee Roast due to heavy crowd and the long preparation time, which we were informed would take more than one hour. One aspect I did not appreciate was the combination of the bar and dining area in the same space, and the cleanliness was not up to the mark. However, the taste of the food was very good overall. We ordered the Prawns Ghee Roast, which was excellent and highly recommended. We also tried the Kundapura Chicken Curry with rice, which was good. In addition, the fish and jeera rice were also good. The waiting time and the shared bar-and-dining setup were drawbacks. I would suggest that visitors opt for the AC family section for a better dining experience.

Shetty Lunch Home is totally worth the ride from Udupi to Kundapura. We went specifically to taste their famous chicken ghee roast, and it was truly out of the box—loaded with ghee and mild spices, perfect for family dining. We also tried neer dosa and majiga dosa, which paired really well with the ghee roast. The quantity is generous and the quality is excellent. The atmosphere is very good, service is decent, and they also have a bar. Overall, great food and absolutely worth the trip.

Authentic and delicious meal! Shetty Lunch Home is a must-visit for anyone who loves coastal flavors. The chicken ghee roast and prawns roast are absolute must-tries — rich, spicy, and full of flavor. Homely taste, great quality, and a very satisfying meal overall. Highly recommended!
